Advisor: Prof.Jitesh Panchal, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department, Purdue University

Continued as Bachelors Thesis Project with home university advisor Professor Deepak Sharma.

(Visiting research scholar May to July 2013)

Abstract: This research aims to develop an interface that provides support for design modification and suggests various adaptive designs to empower the masses with the ability to create and develop products satisfying various constraints. The objective is to develop computational techniques to capture design information and utilize it to make modifications to the design.

Emerging Space Concept Design

Smart & Sustainable Environment Lab (SSEL), Korea Advance Institute of Science and Technology(KAIST), South Korea

Advisor: Prof. Seongju Chang, Associate Professor, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, KAIST

(Visiting research scholar May to July 2012)

Abstract: Named as Prototypical Emerging Habitat Assembly (PEHA), this research aims to explore the dynamic composition and decomposition of habitat related objects to break the stereotype of static designs of construction of living spaces. To improve the flexibility of these living spaces a modular approach to the construction of the buildings had been applied. The method enabled the dynamic utilization of space with the use of just-in-time facilities which could emerge from any part of the floor. This resulted in the complete transformation of a fully equipped house into an empty space and vice versa. The research also aims to give a real time experience to the user of the outside environment with the help of smart sensor technology and improve the user interaction. PEHA thus aims to revolutionize the concept of modern architecture.
